OOC Due to the stresses of real life I have decided to drop this game. Both Hannah and Cho will be leaving.
I hope to see you all in other places in the RP world once I get myself back on track.

OPEN Hannah was sitting at the breakfast table nibbling on a strawberry pastry when the morning post arrived. She didn't pay the owls any mind as she was not expecting anything. So, when the family owl set itself down beside her she didn't know whether to be pleasantly surprised or slightly worried. Either way, curiousity caused her to quickly take the letter as she gave the owl a bit of her pastry and a pat of thanks before it took off to rest in the owlry.
Dearest Hannah,
I wish you were here so we could tell you this news in person. However, I knew that you would be even more upset to know we'd kept such from you until your arrival home.
Grandma fell and broke her hip yet again. Since the girls that were helping around the house are no longer able to lift her without calling emergency services we've moved her into a specialized home. She says for you not to worry and wants to hear from you soon. We will forward any letters you send to her as I'm sure an owl arriving at the facility would scare half the patients to death.
Love,
Mum
Hannah stared at the letter not sure what to think. She knew that her grandma hadn't been doing well for awhile now. But to know that she'd been moved from her home took things to a whole different level. And what about Pap-paw, would he move into the home with her or stay where he was? Could he visit her?
Her appetite now gone, Hannah stood to head back to the dorm so she could absorb this change in her family dynamic without too many prying eyes. |

OOC We are in the middle of a family crisis. I will try to bury myself in my characters to escape when I can. Don't know how available I will be though until this all calms down.

OOC I have a question about the way the journals work. Are they a computer type thing or are they written? How exactly are they designed to work?

Hannah asked Megan if she could borrow the player the girl had gotten for her last birthday. It had only a few Weird Sisters songs on it, but that would still be enough to practice her dancing. While she didn't have a date for the ball this weekend, Hannah had procured a mask. Or rather transfigured one of her own out of an old hat. Luckily, she knew some things about masks from looking at them in magazines so she had a vision. The mask she ended up with was quite pretty. She was glad she'd paid attention in transfiguration. |

I am completely stuck on this Divination assignment. I've tried doing a reading on a first year but they are so awestruck by the possibility of knowing the future that I can't get an honest read on skeptisism.
Anyone want to help me catch another angle on this assignment? |

ooc: Alright, this post will only work if we get a few willing victims.
Hannah was glad their robes were quite bulky. The clothing hid the waterguns so well that no one she passed knew she carried a weapon of mass chaos with her. Making a side stop into one of the baths, Hannah filled the the guns with water and magically sealed the leaky stoppers so she wouldn't leave a trail of water behind herself as she walked.
When she entered the library, Hannah didn't see Megan. To keep Madame Pince from yelling at her for being idle in the library, she grabbed a random book of a nearby shelf and took it to the closest empty table. Propping it open on the table, she pretened to look at the book. |

Mum sent me a package of summertime fun items. Yes, I know it isn't summer. Still, she was trying to help me find a way to brighten up some of the dreary winter days inside the castle. So what did she send? I have a few of those Muggle super water guns.
Who wants to help me go wreak havoc? |

Ever since talking with Hermione in the library about ghosts, an interest had been sparked inside of Hannah. She knew that Professor Binns effected history inside of Hogwarts in more ways than one. Not only was he their teacher, but as far as she had been able to find, he was the only Hogwarts professor to have ever been in ghost form. Wanting to know more about the life of ghosts, she had tried to talk to the Fat Friar but he was more focused on the niceties of their world. Of course, the Bloody Baron, Nearly-Headless Nick, and the Grey Lady were too busy tending to their own to give her the time of day. That left Hannah with only one recourse, she'd have to talk to Myrtle.
During the time she normally reserved for homework, Hannah opted to work on her self imposed research project. She wanted to know more about what it was like to be banned to one location and not allowed to go elsewhere. Not only that, but she wondered why these individuals turned into ghosts and if she would be able to predict whether or not she'd cross into another dimension when the time came.
Knowing the ghost had a reputation for being loud and harsh, Hannah timidly walked into the girl's bathroom on the first floor. "Myrtle?" she said lightly. When she got no response, Hannah took a few more steps into the restroom. "Myrtle?" she asked a little bit louder.
Suddenly, a loud splash and a shower erupted from one of the toilets. Had she not already known the spirit's tendancy to cause soaking wet chaos, Hannah herself might have been drenched. As it was, she anticipated the ghost and was able to place up a water shielding spell in order to protect herself.
"GET OUT!!!" the ghost yelled without giving Hannah a chance to explain her self.
"But, I," the girl started.
"I SAID GET OUT!" The ghost then flew through her and then back down the commode that had been spewing water. The next thing Hannah knew the water had crept to the toes of her shoes and was quickly rising.
Backing up quickly, she headed out into the corridor. "Stupid ghost," she muttered as she headed back toward her common room so she could get some new shoes. |

Open There was a light layer of ice covering the surface of the lake. Still, the wind wasn't blowing and the sun was shining. Nicely bundled and the ability to make fire if she needed, Hannah headed out to sit under her favorite tree near the water.
The dream from the other night still hung in her mind. That was the main reason her selected reading was the dream chapter from her Divination book. She was about half way through the section on dark mementos when she heard a squawking from the lake. With a quick glance up, something broke through the ice and took down the bird that only a second before had been arguing with another. It was so unexpected that it startled her and before she realized it, Hannah had let out a scream that could have been heard by anyone nearby. |

Do you ever feel like you're not who you've been told you are all your life?
I had such a strange dream last night. I dreamt that I was a young boy living in a Muggle neighborhood. My best friend was moving away and there was nothing I could do about it. The day before he was to leave we started playing and played all night into the next morning. I woke up just as his mother was yelling for him to get into the car to leave. The weird thing being that when I woke up I actually felt as if I'd lost something important.
I wonder what Professor Trelawney would have to say about the dream? |

ooc Sorry, all. The school week caught me. We had the state coming in this week to observe us so I've been very in tune with making sure I've had everything caught up.
I'm getting caught up tonight and will have a bit of time to play over the weekend since it's a three day.

Open Hannah stared at her history book. What was the purpose of listing the Minister's of Magic for the last three hundred years? This was a complete and utter waste of her time. It was one thing to simply create a list, but to write a paragraph on the contributions each made to the wizarding world. Binns was absolutely stark raving mad.
Were she not presently sitting in the library, she'd probably toss her head back and scream. Instead, she simply leaned back in her chair and stared up at the ceiling. |

( private to self )Notice to whoever started that rumor: It must be nice to be stupid. Yes, that's right I'm calling you an idiot. First, I have come to the conclusion that your rumor started from an ultrasound photo I lost. The photo of my cousin's baby. That's right, my Muggle cousin. Are you really so dumb as to miss the point that St. Mungo's doesn't use ultrasound epuipment? Not only that, but the photo was credited to a doctor not a healer. Your mother must be proud of your problem solving skills. |
